Celebrating 23 years with BeautiControl!

Growing up in the country, as the only child at home, I could always invent ways to entertain myself.  I had "make believe" playmates and built houses in the backyard using sticks and whatever I could find.  I sometimes dreamed of being wealthy and traveling around the world.  Who hasn’t?   After my first year of college I was married.  I was eager to start our family and become a mother, so we had our first child 13 months after our wedding!  It's amazing how time flies.  Our son is now 34. Our  daughter is 30. Both are married and we have two grandchildren!  I love having the time to play with them!  Not only was I able to be a stay-at-home mom, I also am a stay at home "grammie."  My BeautiControl business allows me that flexibility.At the young age of 20, I became a mother and homemaker - devoting all my time to home and family.  Even though I enjoyed sewing and painting as my hobbies, during any free time I would head to the drugstore and read endless labels on skincare bottles!  Little did I know that this passion, which was only a past time, would one day be crucial to my success in my own business.  Skincare is still my passion and I am convinced that providing skincare and treatment products to our clients is essential to long term success in our business. As a mother, I found myself engrossed in my children's many extracurricular activities such performance groups, cloggers, sports and pageants -- all of which take money!  Even though my husband's salary provided us with a very comfortable lifestyle, these activities proved to be very expensive.  I wanted extra money so that my children could continue to utilize their talents, but didn’t want to sacrifice being free to attend my children's functions.  Luckily, during one of our daughter's pageants, I discovered BeautiControl.  At a booth, a consultant was doing makeovers for the contestants and their moms.  I was so impressed with the products and her professionalism that I decided I could do what she did.  I longed to be able to stay at home with my children.  After becoming a consultant, I booked 2 parties a week, even though I heard a lot of negativism from those around me.  I chose to ignore them.  I just kept telling myself, "others have succeeded in this, and so can I!"  I soon saw the potential for a great income.  I laugh now when I think of how I was going to sell to and take care of everyone in my area!  After an exhausting week of conducting 8 parties, I decided that I needed some help.  I recruited 3 people that month, 2 the next—3 more and on to DIQ.  Then, to Director in only one year!   I really think the Lord has blessed me with the ability to always look for the best in others.  I never focus on areas that I know need improvement.  I constantly point out strengths and encourage my Directors and consultants to build upon those assets.  I love them and they know it!   My greatest goal is to share this opportunity so that the lives of other women can be touched and changed the way mine has been.  When recruiting new consultants, I try never to prejudge anyone.  When you truly want to share what we have, you won’t be able to stop booking and recruiting! My BeautiControl earnings have afforded my family many things.  We own a beautiful house in a golf course community and have driven new cars for 19 years. We have traveled extensively and sent our daughter to private college.  And, most impressive, my husband was able to retire at an early age of 51!  My office is in my home, and a typical day includes sleeping until 8 a.m., exercising, having breakfast, getting dressed and walking down the hallway to work.  My days usually include phone calls to my directors, consultants and clients, while booking, selling and recruiting…all at home and at my own pace.  What a life! Career highlights:

Earned trips to Hawaii, New York three times, Dallas shopping trip, cruises to Cozumel, Cayman Islands, Doral Spa in Miami, and Jamaica.  I have been to Cancun and Europe 3 times, including Germany, Salzburg and Vienna Austria, Switzerland, France and Costa Rica.  I have earned beautiful jewelry and a full length fur!  I have driven company cars for 22 years!  You can enjoy these blessings as well.
